CMREA Training — Canadian Method for Risk Evaluation and Assessment for Railway Systems
CMREA (CSA R114:22) was issued in October 2022 and is now being applied as a mandatory framework on rail and transit projects across Canada — including new builds, renewals, and operational change.
Getting CMREA wrong on a live project can mean missed commissioning windows, regulator pushback, and — in the worst case — incidents with passengers or workers. Getting it right is straightforward once your team understands the method.
The half-day course gives project teams a working understanding of how CMREA applies to their role — whether they're sponsoring change, designing it, or assuring it.
The course provides for open discussion between delegates and our experienced safety leaders and includes examples of how the standard will be applied to railway infrastructure projects and the content of key deliverables.
